Americana Concerts In The Lodge at Camp Helen are Going Online

Welcome to a new year of Americana Music in 2021 at Camp Helen. New year, new rules but still great music in the safest environment for our ardent supporters in this time of Covid. We will provide, free of charge, music videos of our wonderful performers this season. Sit back in the comfort of your home and listen to some of the finest music in America today.

Our performances this year (January 16th, 2021) begin with a very talented and prolific singer/songwriter from London, England named Rupert Wates. He has many well deserved awards for songwriting and has 9 CDs of original music available. Rupert’s music is as smooth as a soft hand on a bare leg.

The legendary and amazing Brian Smalley is our performer for January 30th. You will not find a finer guitarist in these United States. He is crazy talented with a hidden softer side. His knack for story telling is featured on his “acoustic novel” CDs as in, “Chickens Pigs”, “Key” and his latest “Chosen”.

Lucky Mud (Maggie & Mike McKinney) return as our performers for our February 13th show. This duo is always unpredictable but never dull and as muddy as the Apalachicola River. SwampyTonk & Florida Folkabilly is the best description for our perennial hosts for the series.

February 27th will bring the return of Wyatt Espalin from Hiawassee, Georgia. Wyatt’s music is heartfelt with deeply ingrained soul and personal longing. A touch of the dramatic and a flourish of fiddle or guitar with songs that will play on all of your emotions. Just give in to them.

From the Smoky Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, Nikki Talley is a treasure. Her music is smoky and rootsy with the feel of mountain air beneath you. Nikki, along with her amazing accompanist, hubbie Jason Sharp, will transport you to the highest peaks and bring you back to the Gulf of Mexico. She completes our 2021 music series on March 13th.

Join us for each of these 5 incredible artists for another fabulous season of Americana Music in The Lodge at Camp Helen State Park.
