The Friends of Camp Helen are excited to be open for kayak and SUP rentals 7 days a week from 9am-5pm beginning Monday, March 7. Reservations can be made online at or by calling (850) 238-1900. 

Walk ins are also welcome.

On Friday, April 8 at 7pm, the FOCH will host their first ever fundraiser concert featuring “The Currys” at Camp Helen State Park. Tickets will be available directly on the Friends of Camp Helen website for $50 beginning March 5.  The ticket price will cover park admission, dinner, and drinks. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Camp Helen State Park. This event is sponsored by Carpe Diem Community Solutions and Edward Jones, Panama City Beach.

Then on Saturday, April 16, the FOCH is hosting their first annual Easter egg scavenger hunt.  Guests are encouraged to visit the park anytime between 10am-2pm, pay $4 park admission, ask volunteers for an egg hunt card, and enjoy a color-coded hunt that encourages kids to explore and learn about the park at their own leisure. participants can turn them in for a special prize. The scavenger hunt will have 3 different age groups: 0-3, 4-6, and 7-12.   After finding an egg of each color, children can turn them in for a special prize.

That’s What Cheese Said and Gelato Love food trucks will be in the park from 11-3. 

There is even rumored to be a surprise appearance by a celebrity bunny.  More information can be found on the Friends of Camp Helen Facebook page.

Camp Helen State Park is located at 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway (Highway 98), Panama City Beach, just west of the Lake Powell Bridge.
